            Lawrence Young grew up with a passion for health and health equity. At an early age, he became passionate about improving the health of underserved communities which led to work experiences in the public health field. His career has centered on the intersection of public health and health equity with positions that have allowed him to work in grant management, community engagement, health education, behavioral research, data analysis, program development/evaluation, and health education.

            Lawrence graduated from Morehouse College in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Public Health. He continued his formal education at Emory University, where he earned a Master of Public Health degree. Young’s goal is to focus his career on creating and sustaining initiatives that promote health equity, address the social determinants of health, and facilitate meaningful stakeholder engagement.
